As we celebrate our 135th Anniversary, we have been met with both happy and traumatic news. Classes at Westwood were suspended indefinitely yesterday following a fire on Tuesday night. The fire, which was confined to the kitchen and main dining room areas, destroyed the roof, furniture and heavy-duty appliances. We are relieved that none of the girls were hurt and we laud the efforts of the firefighters and plant supervisor in quickly containing the fire. Hats off to the staff, students and Principal for their prompt response. We are advised that the evacuation.... >> Read More

Operation Labour Day 2016

April 30, 2016 5:18 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

WOGA has embarked on a Labour Day project that will focus on re-facing the quadrangle, entrance and other needy areas of the school. The rooms on the quadrangle, for example, serve as classrooms, but as they are some of the oldest buildings in the school and have deteriorated to great extent. Our project will entail repairing and painting them. The Westwood High School ladies work tirelessly to keep their environment clean however, the condition of the buildings as they stand, take away from the aesthetics and sometimes serves a distraction from the main.... >> Read More
