As we celebrate our 135th Anniversary, we have been met with both happy and traumatic news. Classes at Westwood were suspended indefinitely yesterday following a fire on Tuesday night. The fire, which was confined to the kitchen and main dining room areas, destroyed the roof, furniture and heavy-duty appliances. We are relieved that none of the girls were hurt and we laud the efforts of the firefighters and plant supervisor in quickly containing the fire. STEWART TOWN, Trelawny – Classes at the Westwood High School for Girls in Stewart Town were suspended indefinitely yesterday following a fire Tuesday night, which razed a section of the prominent boarding school.
