WOGA NY takes incredible pride in spotlighting and championing nonprofits in the Diaspora that preserve our culture, fund education, and drive socioeconomic change. A phenomenal example was the Jamaica Independence Foundation, Inc. (JIFINYC) “The People’s Ball: The Emerald Masquerade” gala, which recently celebrated Jamaica’s 64th Independence!
WOGA NY was well represented during the event’s cocktail hour, which featured a spectacular fashion show curated by our very own WOG Patrice Dacosta Fernandez of Stoosh Boutique and beautifully narrated by WOG Donna Ingram, CEO of AD1 Tax Prep.
Events like these are more than just a celebration—they are critical fundraising galas that provide vital resources for charter schools, community initiatives, and educational advancement back home and within our local diaspora networks.
