WOGA New York strives to provide financial support for programs and activities that enhance the development of the student body. To this end, WOGA New York liaises very closely with the other chapters, school leadership and stakeholders in the Diaspora, to ensure we are responding to the needs and welfare of the student population, thus enriching the lives of students at Westwood.

Your donation to WOGA New York will help us get closer to our goals of promoting STEM by improving the AutoCAD Lab for students in the Technical Drawing cohort; increasing our annual scholarship program and the school’s infrastructure. Please help us reach our goal of $14,100.00.

Since 2014, Westwood High School introduced CSEC Technical Drawing in the curriculum, to help students meet the requirements for pursuing Architectural Studies at the University level. Subsequently, Westwood students continue to excel in Technical Drawing with a pass rate of 100% in 2019 and 2020, despite lack of facilities to enhance learning. We envision a time when all students at this 141-year-old institution will have access to learning STEM using 21st Century equipment and be better able to compete with other students in the world. This will ensure the sustainability of Westwood’s Technical Drawing and Building & Mechanical Drawing programs. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
