10 ladies attended the South Florida Chapter church service at The Episcopal Church of the Atonement in Lauderdale Lakes, FL. They were representative of an expanse of 30 years, 1953 – 1982.
Ms. Hazel Hylton ’53 who started WHS at age 7 & left at age 14, Mrs. Doreth Smith ’53, Juliet Bond ’72, Denese Rose Bartley & Audrey Brown Harris ’74, Cheryl Spence McKay ’77, Clytie Grant Williamson & Marcia Delvees ’78, Beverley Fray ’79, lavern Smith’82, Olga Coy ’74 and Marcia Delvees & Beverley Fray 1979.
The message was delivered by Rev. Earl Henry, Rector, who delivered a message of “Encouragement for volunteerism“, encouraging all who do work to help others, not to lose faith, but to keep focused on the goals set.
A very fitting message as the WOGA chapters struggle to maintain interest in our 120 year old association, in this 135 year of Westwood existence.
